New market research instruction for practitioners in Mexico and Latam.

MRII and University of Georgia partner with AMAI to offer market research instruction to practitioners in Mexico and across Latin America

PRESS RELEASE

The Market Research Institute International (MRII) and The University of Georgia Center for Continuing Education have partnered with the Mexican Association of Market Intelligence and Opinion Agencies (AMAI) to make the Principles Express suite of courses available in Spanish to practitioners in Mexico and throughout Latin America. Principles Express courses address the evolving needs of today’s market research practitioners by offering focused and in-depth instruction on the field’s core topics.

Introducción al análisis de datos is the first course adapted for the Spanish-speaking audience under the auspices and supervision of the AMAI. The course equips Spanish-speaking professionals with the essential skills to analyze and interpret data effectively. This adaptation is intended to promote greater access to valuable knowledge and resources for Spanish-speaking individuals seeking to enhance their data analysis capabilities.

“We are excited to collaborate with AMAI on this project to reach audiences outside our traditional sphere of influence. Our cooperation aims to facilitate continuous learning and provide exposure to our comprehensive portfolio of market research courses. This is a significant first step in the right direction,” said Kiel Norris, Associate Director of Continuing Education at the Georgia Center.

The addition of the translated course builds on the Georgia Center and MRII’s experience in providing excellent market research education to more than 10,000 researchers and insights professionals from 114 countries, as well as AMAI’s leading position within the Latin American market research sphere.

AMAI’s president, Pólux Arañó, noted, “At the Association, we are very excited about launching this initiative. We celebrate the University of Georgia and MRII’s embracing this initiative to make the Principles Express suite of courses available in Spanish to practitioners in Mexico and throughout Latin America. AMAI seeks that this Suite and the online courses developed by AMAI may become a standard in Mexico and Latin America for professional specialization in the research field.”

Introducción al análisis de datos provides a comprehensive overview of the most relevant topics related to data analysis. The Spanish-language version covers the same core concepts as the original 12-hour English-language version, including:

• Data collection and cleaning

• Descriptive statistics

• Hypothesis testing

• Data normality and skewness

• Data visualization

The online course allows market research and insights professionals to learn at their own pace and from their current location, thus greatly improving access to this training. Students who complete the course receive a digital badge from the University of Georgia Center for Continuing Education. In addition, UGA/MRII’s Spanish-language Principles Express courses will be incorporated into an AMAI program, allowing learners to earn a certificate from the Mexican association.

Ed Keller, executive director of the MRII said, “We have always served a global audience for these industry-leading online educational courses, but we have relied on learners to be proficient in English to take advantage of them. We are delighted to be working together with Georgia and AMAI to offer this course in Spanish for the very first time, which we hope and expect will make it even more valuable to market research professionals for whom Spanish is their preferred language.”
