ANN ARBOR, MI, January 10, 2018 — The Board of the Market Research Institute International (MRII) has elected Jeffrey Henning, founder and president of Researchscape International, as Board President for 2018. He succeeds Jon Last, founder and president at Sports and Leisure Research Group, who now becomes Immediate Past President.
The Board also elected Dan Coates, president and co-founder of Ypulse, Inc., as President-Elect and Michael Mermelstein, executive vice president of Nichols Research, as Treasurer.
“The MRII has a 22-year track record of providing research professionals with a firm foundation in market-research principles. Knowledge of these principles is key to integrating new methods into our work,” said Henning. “I’ve long been passionate about evangelizing research best practices, and I’m honored to have this opportunity to serve the MRII and the global research industry.”
The MRII Board elected three new members: Guido Lara, Ph.D., Founder and President of LEXIA Global; Karen Scherbaum, Group Vice President, Consumer Insights, Macy’s Inc.; and David Scowcroft, Ph.D., Senior Vice President, Ipsos Healthcare.
They replace retiring Board members Susan Frede, Independent Consultant; Raul Lopez, Vice President Research, New American Dimensions; and Paul Snyderman, Ph.D., Independent Consultant. “The MRII Board is one of the most active boards I’ve ever been involved with,” said Henning, “and we’re deeply thankful for the contributions of Raul, Susan, and Paul. Without volunteers such as these, we wouldn’t be able to serve the industry.”
